Or you can walk 2nd street and down Broadway to see the historic core's architecture/buildings and Grand Central Market, Broadway/Spring Street arcade and nearby The Last Bookstore or Spring Street. I would walk up 1st street to Grand Ave and down to 7th Street because of the great architecture along those streets and museums. Little Tokyo to Financial District at 7th Street and Figueroa where many large chain hotels, mainstream shopping, bars are located is about a 20+ minute walk.
